Far Above All

“For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.”

“These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:15-23

Life throws challenges at us which seem impossible to understand. On a personal level, why would my God who loves and protects me allow an online monopoly to destroy my online travel business with total disregard? But far more importantly why does Jesus not quickly deliver my wife from this horrible cancer? The forces of evil will always attempt to use these thoughts to create doubt and bring us down.

We will never find ourselves in any situation that is not ruled by Jesus. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Therefore, we must always reject doubt, worry, fear, and the lies of this world; and keep our hearts and minds focused on His Truth —

Stand Firm Therefore …
and in His promises, we can peacefully rest in His love.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:2-3

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

No matter how difficult the circumstances — we are called to put off our problems and circumstances and abide in Christ. The mind of Christ is over all, and we have the mind of Christ. We must stand on His eternal promises and rest in His peace. This is how we can be strong and courageous. “For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”

The point here is that we do not need to understand all of these things of the world. No need to worry, fret, or complain. Jesus knows all, and is over all. We only need to understand that God loves us beyond our comprehension. Our victory is secure. But we will always have tribulation, and Jesus has already secured our victory over all temptations, trials, and tribulations. These problems are temporary and He will always deliver us. His power over all things is beyond measure. His victory is all-inclusive. Lean not on your own understanding. Christ will never fail you.

Believe in Him – Have Faith In Him – Trust In Him
Stand Firm In Him – Rest In Him – Have Peace In Him

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27

This is personal between each one of us and God the Creator of all things. We are His chosen ones and our entry into the family of God happened the moment we believed in Jesus and received His free gift of eternal life. He is our father. And we are His children forevermore. Our present relationship with the Creator is eternal.

Our life with him is not a future event. It is here and NOW.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

Paul prayed that our hearts may be enlightened in these things.
”I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe”

Why this prayer? So that we will KNOW — “the hope of His calling” and “the glory of His inheritance” and “the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe” … and in these promises we have His peace.

And all of this is … “far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”

Praise you and thank you Lord Jesus

All Means All and that’s all All means.
Grace and Peace to you my friends,
